PUBLIC DIGGING!

!!EXCITING NEWS FOR COLLIER CREEK CRYSTALS!!

For the first time in the history of Collier Creek Mine, we will offer public mining. Yes, you read that correctly, we are opening to the public! Opening day will be May 22, 2026. We are super excited about this, and to be perfectly honest with you, a little nervous too. We’ve been in the crystal mining business for a long time, but this will be a totally new adventure for us. We hope that you will be patient with us as we navigate our way through and learn as we go!

We’ve had a lot of questions already, so here are some answers to the most frequently asked:

Opening day May 22, 2026

Pricing is as follows:

Adults (15 and up) $25

Children (6-14) $6

5 and under are free

Seniors (55+) $20

Hours 8am-4:30pm Mon-Sat. Closed on Sunday

Location is in Norman, AR. Exact location will be posted closer to opening day.

We will have gloves, protective eyewear, and small spades for sale on site, but you are more than welcome to use your own. We will also be giving away one collection bag with every paid entry into the digging area.

We do plan to close during the winter months, but don’t have exact dates just yet.

You will be digging through tailings and keeping all that you find. We hope to have pocket digs available soon–this is so new to us, and we will be learning as we go! We’ve been in the mining business for a really long time, but never opened to the public, so we hope everyone will be patient with us as we grow and learn.

As I stated earlier, we are really excited and working hard to get everything ready for you all to come and have a wonderful experience with us, and we can’t wait to see you all AT THE MINE!!!
