This is a really interesting point. As you can see in the pictures, the top of the point is water clear, and has absolutely no damage. There are some smaller points attached to the back side of the point, which you can see from the front, that have some beautiful rainbows. The points sticking out from the side of the main point also have some nice rainbows. This point is thumb size, and almost 3 inches long. The gold that you see on the back side of the point is Limonite, which is basically altered pyrite. When it formed, it was a pyrite cube, and over the years has altered to Limonite. It is a fairly rare occurrence for us to find the Limonite on Quartz at our mine.
